Damn you

I really want an ice cream right now.

TwistedMindSet responds:

Ice cream for everyone

Fun

Though I think you should have brought in the funky bass and guitar a little earlier. I would put this in pop rather than techno. It's not really drum n bass. It's more like 80's break beat funk pop revival and the more I hear it repeat the more I think it's awesome. Sweet man!

Now here's something you don't hear every day.

This must've taken a lot of time. The vocals are awesome. Some of the drums are a little cluttered but really not enough to take away from the tune.

It's a treat to hear something different like pop up every once in a while.

Ninjkabat responds:

Well, it actually did kinda take a long time to make this one; but that's because I ended up having to start over 5 times because of stupid mistakes. Like, not saving and then crashing the program type of mistakes.

Anyway, I agree that the drums are a little cluttered at times. It kinda bugged me, being a drummer, but then I realized that I could just say "it's an African chant, and they're never exactly precise." If I went back and did it all over again, I would clean up some of them. But at the end of the day, I just wanted to be done and move on to other songs. I have a lot of ideas that I wanna start on.

Glad you liked it, though. It's always nice to hear that I made something that people like.

I like it

Pretty guitar work and I like the crispy recording, helps add to the mood. The vocals could use a little work, but I do have to give it to you for trying. Not too many venture out of their little FL digital wonder land on here.

Good Job Man,
I wanna hear more

Hmm...

Reminds me of the postal service. Even though it's a dance tune it'd be cool to hear some lyrics along with it.

Sweet guitar tone

I would say it drags a bit but it is a ballad. I like the section towards the middle where you're playing lead but you start putting some rhythm in it. A similar song might benefit with a little rhythm guitar behind the lead to keep the song moving.

Sonofkirk responds:

Yes, it drag a bit but I think that is in the context. At the beginin, there is not rythm to preserve the dark side of this song. Thanks for your review !

Nice

I really like the tone of that organ and how you arrange it with the strings. I'll have to check out the rest of the project. My only criticism is that the organ is a bit loud in the mix. With a lower volume it may blend better with the rest of the elements.

Not bad

I really like that distorted bass and how you arrange it with the guitar runs.

The thing that irks me is between the treble in the fl slayer and the constant endless crash. It comes off a bit obnoxious.

ShootingStar responds:

I agree with the distorted bass, I really like that, the endless crash, wasn't supposed to be a crash, it was more of a hit-hat, but could sound like a crash...

Neat mix.

It's a nice arrangement probably better suited for industrial than metal though. I can hear what you were trying for. At times it does get a bit boring but I'm sure that can be broken up with either vocals or a lead part.

Nice

I can bounce to this. I imagine the loop wont work very well with the silence at the end of it but that can be touched up easily with and editor. I'm not too much into hip hop but I could hear some guitar over this.

Currently I do web development. The only way I keep sane is doing music. I've gone to touring bands to creative influence. Need a backing track. This is the way I have fun.
